This policy describes how Chapel Baseball handles personal information through its Players Dugout web application and voluntary team text notifications.

Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, we may collect account and contact details, player profile information, profile photos, team membership, registration approval status, optional workout and performance records, and information about SMS consent and message delivery. Please do not enter unnecessary sensitive information.

Why we use it

We use this information to operate the team application, manage access and permissions, support player development features, communicate team activities, maintain security, and send optional text notifications when a person has affirmatively agreed.

Text messages and service providers

If you opt in, we use Telnyx to transmit team-related SMS notices to the phone number you provide. Your number and information necessary to deliver messages may be processed by that provider. SMS consent and mobile numbers are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent is not sold.

Choice and withdrawal

SMS enrollment is optional and not required to register or participate in the Players Dugout. You can change your SMS preference in your profile or reply STOP to an SMS to stop further texts. Reply HELP for assistance. We retain limited opt-out records to respect your request.

Minors and families

Because this application relates to a youth baseball team, a parent or legal guardian should manage SMS consent for a minor's phone number where required. Team administrators should minimize children's personal information and make sure authorized adults control accounts as appropriate.

Data access and safeguards

Role-based permissions limit access to application features. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Do not assume profile content is public; authorized team users and administrators may have access according to their roles.

Retention and requests

We retain information for team operations and applicable administrative, security, and compliance needs. Contact the administrator to request corrections or deletion where feasible, recognizing that certain consent and opt-out records may be retained to document your preferences.

Changes

We may update this policy as the application changes and will publish a revised effective date.
